The work behind

1 x GOLD I 1 x BRONZE

AIZOME - Wastecare

Japanese-German textile company AIZOME has partnered with Serviceplan Innovation to launch WASTECARE™, a premium skin care product made from wastewater from AIZOME's textile dyeing process. Because AIZOME only uses plants, water and ultrasound in its dyeing process instead of synthetic chemicals, the wastewater, like the textiles, has natural health benefits such as anti-inflammation, pain relief and skin rejuvenation.

Dot Inc. - Dot Pad

Launched in 2022, the Dot Pad uses AI to analyze and segment digital images. The Dot Pad can be activated with a gesture and displays the highlighted element on the screen. The tablet displays any visual content from any source using Dot Image Processing and Actuator technology. This makes images tangible through 2,400 pins in a pixel-like grid that can be adjusted to form letters, shapes and diagrams. The powerful innovation is transforming all kinds of industries and even won Fast Company's 2023 "World Changing Ideas" Award in the Asia-Pacific category and also won the CES Innovation Award.

Saved Memories

Many trans people report that they can no longer look at their childhood photos after a successful transition. "Saved Memories," developed by Serviceplan Berlin in collaboration with the German NGOs Transklar e.V., Trans-Ident e.V. and Rosa Strippe e.V., uses artificial intelligence to transform childhood photos so that they reflect the person's true gender identity. The project and the accompanying film, which tells the story of the project's first participants, reached over 165 million contacts on International Day Against Homophobia, Bisexuality, Interphobia and Transphobia.

"This year, we are focusing on our ‘Sparks ÜberCreative Experience Program’, a group-wide development programme for young talents. In addition to the creative exchange – which is immensely important – the young colleagues can be inspired by great presentations and get to know each other in a laid-back atmosphere. And all this on an international level, across all our locations."

Promoting young talents

#YoungLions

This year's #CannesLions were all about our young talents: Seven #YoungLions from Austria and Germany took part in the Global Young Lions competition at the Croisette and young talents from eight different locations joined us at the #HouseOfCommunication in Cannes for the #SparkExperienceProgram.

After two days full of inspiration, creativity and the opportunity to expand their network - in Munich in November and the Virtual Spark Day in February - we now entered the third and final phase of the Spark Experience Program in Cannes.

On the agenda: a meditation and yoga session to kick off the day, inspiring talks - and an #ÜberJam for our customer #o2 (Telefónica Germany).

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has championed creative excellence since 1954 and is the definitive benchmark for creativity driving progress worldwide. The 2023 edition took place in Cannes from June 19-23.

The festival brings together creatives from around the world every year. The status of the "Lions" in gold, silver and bronze awarded there is equivalent to that of the Oscar in the film industry.
