Next Generation ÜberCreativity: Axel Spendlingwimmer becomes Creative Director at Wien Nord Serviceplan.

Axel Spendlingwimmer is promoted to Creative Director at the creative agency Wien Nord Serviceplan and takes on team responsibility. He is not least an ambassador for a new generation of interdisciplinary creatives of international stature at the House of Communication.

 

In 2021, Axel Spendlingwimmer joined the creative team at the Vienna-based agency on Gumpendorfer Straße as Senior Art Director. Now the native of Upper Austria with strong international experience has been promoted to Creative Director Art and will contribute this experience to national and international clients and in collaboration with the creatives of the entire Serviceplan Group.

 

Spendlingwimmer's career was shaped early on by thinking outside the box of the domestic industry. After completing his studies in communications management and the Miami Ad School, he began his career at Jung von Matt/SAGA in Hamburg, where he won numerous international awards for clients such as BVG, Otto and Techniker Krankenkasse. After five years abroad and positions at BETC Paris and AKQA London, he returned to Vienna and worked at Jung von Matt/Donau, where he was jointly responsible for campaigns for Erste Bank, Caritas, Burger King and Internorm for several years.

 

In July 2021, he moved to Wien Nord Serviceplan, where he worked for clients such as Casinos Austria, Tipp3, Stiegl Bier and Wiener Linien. Axel Spendlingwimmer has also been a member of the Creativ Club Austria since 2022. One of the things that appeals to him about his new role is the opportunity to make full use of his international expertise: "I'm looking forward to the new challenges as team lead, especially to international projects within the Serviceplan Group, in exchange with top creatives from around 20 countries," emphasizes Spendlingwimmer.

 

Christian Hellinger, Creative Managing Director of Wien Nord Serviceplan, sees Spendlingwimmer's appointment as a personal expression of what Serviceplan calls "ÜberCreativity": "Axel's career path is characterized by multinational exchange, inspiration from a wide variety of markets, media channels and disciplines.
