How we live diversity

Let´s celebrate diversity

As a House of Communication, diversity and variety flow through our DNA. This fundamental principle is visible in the language we use too. We design gender-inclusive communications across all areas of business, at every level. Words matter. By carefully considering and choosing inclusive language, we make people of all gender identities seen.

Our Diversity Pledge is both a promise and an incentive. It inspires and enables us to be inclusive and recognize diversity 365 days a year. Our shared commitment creates powerful creative outcomes.

We believe our people should have the freedom and support to pursue a family and a rewarding career - at any point. It’s why we offer a variety of family-friendly work models, initiatives, and collaborations to provide support and encouragement to succeed at both. These include structures like:

weLGBT is a platform to inspire, enable exchanges, and provide support and information for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and their allies who wish to support these goals. Together, we create  projects to promote the visibility of LGBTQIA+ and advocate for equality through actions and incentives like:

  • DE&I Week information events
  • Establishing gender-neutral restrooms
  • Showing continued support and advocating at pride events
  • Staying informed, inclusive, and consulting with the LGBTQIA+ community on internal projects, such as gender communication guidelines

In addition to our daily DE&I endeavors, we shine the light on and raise greater awareness about  diversity, equality, and inclusion during our dedicated DE&I week. Held between 6-10 March, 2023, this year’s event was themed on"Allyship." Our three dynamic keynote speakers provided valuable insights into being an ally and offered food for thought to generate interesting discussions on topics like Female Leadership, Anti-Racism, and LGBTQIA+ - all in a safe space.

Our Cross Mentorship Program brings together mentors and mentees to cultivate support for talented individuals who want to advance their career planning, learn new skills, up their knowledge,  and build a sustainable network.

We also collaborate with Employers for Equality to raise awareness about relevant DE&I topics, identify how to meet specific diversity challenges, and educate through training and workshops. And all Gender Equality and Diversity Program talks are available to our Serviceplan Group colleagues for free.

Our agency's own PLUS Mentorship Program supports young talent. Our program connects fresh talent with experienced managers from the Group to help them overcome challenges, build confidence and navigate work life successfully. Mentorships are valuable experiences and can cover areas like taking next career steps, expanding networks, or learning to achieve a better work-life balance. The experience is beneficial to mentees and mentors - who are both able to gain inspiration, and learn from one another.

Together with Socialbee, we educate and empower talented women with a refugee background to become qualified project managers, within a year, and then welcome them to our agency as valued colleagues. Diversifying in this fashion, enables us to welcome people with future-focused skills to our teams and help them succeed. It also simultaneously strengthens our commitment to creating  inclusive work spaces with opportunities for all.

We encourage our people to provide feedback so we can continually improve. Our colleagues can anonymously share their thoughts - from criticism and praise to insights and  tips on all DE&I-related topics. We use this valuable feedback to  create balanced, safe spaces, while countering discrimination, and creating a working environment that actively promotes and embraces diversity.
