Serviceplan Group │ Cannes Lions Festival

Three cases, three colleagues: who is the biggest contender to win a Lion?

From June 17-21, the Cannes Lions Festival will take place. This is where the advertising and communications industries come together to celebrate the best work in the world. Serviceplan Group will also be present with cases of our international campaigns that push the boundaries of creativity. Be inspired by our colleagues.

From Lufthansa's heartwarming 'Every story starts with a Yes', which captures the essence of travel and adventure and the powerful and human 'How to quit (OPIODS)' campaign, to the provocative 'Space Trash Signs' for Privateer Space. Which of our cases have the best chance of winning at Cannes Lions?

Every Story starts with a Yes

"Who hasn't come up with stories about other people's lives and conversations? During travel, especially when we have to deal with language barriers, this imagination becomes even stronger. 'Every story starts with a yes' connects our curiosity about people and their stories with the Lufthansa brand.

Yes, to campaigns that play on our human reflexes. Yes to capturing the importance of discovery and shared experiences. Yes to the beauty and truth that unites us instead of dividing us – travelers, seekers, and dreamers."

The new Lufthansa 'Yes' campaign, created by Serviceplan, is all about the personal experiences and stories of travellers. The slogan 'Say yes to the world' has now become a simple and powerful 'Yes', reflecting the personal 'Yes' of each passenger.

SPACE TRASH SIGNS

"What impressed me the most was how the team managed to present the results of hugely detailed scientific research so clearly. The beautiful shape and impressive design are really in service of the content and the message. It's great to visualize a problem in this way that was largely unknown until then.

After seeing this work, you will never forget this great problem and its consequences for the daily life of humanity. The quality at every stage of the project is really impressive."

Space travel is booming. But with this comes the problem of waste. There are more than 160 million pieces of man-made space junk in orbit. Because they move at speeds of 15 kilometers per second, even a small piece can cause significant damage.

To visualize the consequences of space pollution, Serviceplan Innovation, with the support of Mediaplus, have launched Space Trash Signs — constellations made of space junk.

855-HOW-TO-QUIT-(OPIOIDS)

"Rather than just issuing warnings or pointing fingers, the HOW-TO-QUIT campaign shows the causes of the opioid epidemic and adds a human element. It's clever how the billboards show pills in a natural way to reach people with addiction and connect them to help.

The design is simple, powerful and clear. This campaign is delivering a much-needed message in the U.S."

Every 6 minutes, someone in the United States dies from opioids, and more than 2.1 million people suffer from opioid addiction. 855-HOW-TO-QUIT-(OPIOIDS) is an innovative way to help people with addiction. It is a helpline to reach people the moment they have a pill in their hand. This free helpline connects people battling addiction with those who have overcome it.
