The role:
We are seeking a Head of Data to lead our data strategy, analytics, and technology efforts within a dynamic media agency environment. This role will be responsible for leveraging data to drive media planning, audience insights, campaign optimization, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in media analytics, data platforms, and leadership skills to build and manage a high-performing data team.
Key responsibilities
Data Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy to enhance media planning, buying, and measurement.
- Be responsible for the existing local data architecture and integrating with the global data infrastructure
- Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, data scientists, and engineers
- Drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the agency
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Be responsible for the successful integration of the data team with the rest of the agency business units ; ensuring high levels of collaboration with key stakeholders across the business
- Run a team who are able to successfully integrate with media and strategy teams; clearly articulating the role of data and enabling collaborative ways of working designed for client success
Key skills and experience
Essential:
- Significant experience in data analytics, ideally in a media agency
- Strong understanding of media measurement, attribution models, audience segmentation and MMM.
- Expertise in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis languages.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Familiarity with Google Marketing Platform, Meta Ads, CDPs, DMPs, Adobe and ad servers.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS, Databricks).
Desirable:
- Understanding of privacy-first data solutions (e.g., clean rooms, first-party data strategies).
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in media optimization.
