Sebastian Bayer takes over the management of the House of Communication Vienna

A planned and well-prepared move: Markus Mazuran will hand over his CEO role at the House of Communication to his successor Sebastian Bayer in October.

Sebastian Bayer, the current IAA President, is taking over the reins of one of Austria's largest agency groups. For ten yeards, Bayer was CEO of Y&R (now Scholz & Friends Vienna), developing it into one of the country's leading agencies. He was able to benefit greatly from his client-side experience at Nike, where he held a number of marketing and management roles in Austria and abroad for over 13 years.

Sebastian Bayer is looking forward to his new challenge: “The exciting thing about my role at the House of Communication Vienna is that many different, first-class communication services come together, all of which have a strong position on the market in their own right. I see it as one of my key tasks to further develop this collaboration and to see where these services can be further integrated for customers.”

The new CEO has 130 employees in the House of Communication at his service, who are already working on customer tasks in a highly integrated manner. “We have the size and the expertise needed to optimally cover our clients' needs. We can seamlessly interlink services from brand to creation, media, tech and beyond for our customers because we have them all under one roof,” says Bayer. Bayer sees great demand and great potential for customers with more complex requirements in customized solutions - i.e. units that are put together within the HoC according to customer needs and expanded to include internationally available expertise here and there.

Sebastian Bayer adds: “We offer something that doesn't exist elsewhere: the proximity and understanding of a locally anchored Austrian agency and at the same time direct access to a whole host of specialist skills that we cover through our highly specialized locations worldwide. And that certainly gives us a competitive advantage with our Austrian clients.
