Our holistic sustainability approach
In the international discourse, sustainability in all its aspects is becoming increasingly important and is bringing new challenges and transformations. This change is particularly noticeable in corporations. As the largest owner-managed agency group globally, we also want to be a pioneer when it comes to sustainability. We are facing up to this change with our new, comprehensive and international sustainability strategy because for us this is not just a compulsory task, but something we do out of our deepest conviction.
We aim to live up to our responsibility through sustainable business practices and transparent communication - in all relevant dimensions. This means that we are constantly challenging ourselves and considering new opportunities to act in an even more environmentally friendly, economical and socially responsible way. The United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) also help us to better understand the various aspects of sustainability.
Our customers are increasingly valuing sustainable and responsible business models. As a result, we aspire to collaborate with them, beginning today, to develop effective solutions and generate impact and transparency.
The European Green Deal has shed new light on sustainability. The implementation of the European Sustainability Reporting Directives, the Supply Chain Act, and the Green Claim Directives have already brought further change and it will continue to do so.
Through our new international sustainability strategy, we are in the process of introducing a global framework and undergoing a necessary paradigm shift - all in the sense of a holistic perspective on the interrelationships between the environment, society and governance. The Serviceplan Group's new sustainability strategy therefore no longer focuses solely on climate protection, but also on the inclusion of environmental and social aspects as well as corporate governance principles (ESG).
This new strategy will be developed based on sector-specific sustainability targets derived from our double materiality analysis (DMA). We are also focusing our measures specifically on our core business areas, involving relevant international stakeholders. The Serviceplan Group is committed to making a credible impact on selected Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to the environment, social affairs, and corporate governance.

For the first time, we are publishing an all-German climate report in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol for the financial year 2022/2023. The report includes data from our HoCs in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, and Cologne, as well as the space rented at these locations, and other locations in Bremen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Neu-Isenburg, and Nuremberg. This report will serve as a benchmark and basis for future international calculations of our emissions.

From the 2023/2024 financial year, we will consolidate our country-specific sustainability initiatives and publish our first international climate report. This will be the first milestone on the way to preparing an international CSRD-compliant sustainability report in accordance with the new European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) for the 2025/2026 financial year. We are planning to voluntarily publish an additional CSRD-compliant sustainability report for the 2024/2025 financial year.
Our sustainability report creates transparency.
As part of our commitment to comply with the 3 pillars of sustainable development, we are also increasing our corporate transparency. We have linked our financial report and our Code of Conduct (Code of Conduct for Suppliers and Internal Code of Conduct) to our sustainability report. You can find these documents here:
